Install the Fireball Controls Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension that lets Wrangler, Sidecar and Trader see and operate web pages, plus the small helper that connects Chrome to them.

You need

  • Google Chrome on a Mac.
  • Fireball Wrangler, Sidecar or Trader.

Load Unpacked

Unzip it, install the helper, then load the extension in Chrome.

  1. Unzip it

    Double-click FireballControlsChrome.zip in Downloads, then move the folder somewhere it can stay. Chrome runs the extension from that folder.

  2. Install the helper

    In Terminal, go to the unzipped folder and run the native-host installer. It connects Chrome to your Fireball apps.

    sh native-host/install.sh

  3. Turn on Developer Mode

    In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer Mode at the top right.

  4. Load Unpacked

    Click Load Unpacked and pick the extension folder inside the unzipped folder.

The first time it opens

Pin Fireball Controls in Chrome's toolbar, then turn it on for the sites you allow in your Fireball app's Settings. Every control is off until you turn it on.

How do I update?
Download the latest ZIP, replace the folder with the new one, run the helper installer again, then click Reload on the extension in chrome://extensions.
